Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 g flour
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 1 packet of baking powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 150 ml water
  • 250 g minced beef, pork, lamb, or tuna
  • 1 onion(s), diced
  • 3 tomatoes
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • Salt and pepper paprika
  • Garlic
  • 1 cube of Maggi
  • Paprika powder
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Rest time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 20 minutes

Mix the flour, eggs, baking powder, and salt. Then add the water and a little oil, stirring until the dough is soft. Then let it rest for 20 minutes. Filling: Heat 1 tablespoon of oil, add the chopped onion, and fry. Then add the minced meat, tomato paste, tomatoes, and nokos (the crushed spices), and fry until cooked through. Roll out the dough with a rolling pin, cut into rectangles or squares, place a spoonful of filling on top, close the pockets, and press the edges firmly together at the corners. This works best with a fork. Deep-fry the pockets in hot oil.
