Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 8 fish fillets (cod)
  • 1 lemon(s), the juice
  • salt and pepper
  • 4 slices of Chester cheese
  • 1 pkt. Puff pastry, frozen
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 1 tomato(s)
  • 1 cucumber(s)

Instructions

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

Wash and dry the fish fillets, marinate in lemon juice for 10 minutes, and season with salt and pepper. Roll out the thawed puff pastry and cut into 4 squares. Place a slice of Cheshire cheese between each 2 fillet pieces and wrap the fish in the pastry squares, pressing the edges firmly. Brush the fish parcels with beaten egg and bake in a preheated oven at 175°C for 40 minutes. Garnish the fish with cucumber slices and tomato wedges and serve immediately. Serve with hot remoulade sauce and white breadsticks. Serve with white wine.
