Fish in batter

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 kg fish fillet(s) (pollock), frozen
  • 150 g flour
  • ½ tsp baking powder
  • salt and pepper
  • 2 medium-sized egg yolks
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • ¾ cup(s) water
  • 2 m.-large egg whites
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Whisk together the flour, baking powder, egg yolks, oil, salt, pepper, and water, then fold in the stiffly beaten egg whites. Now dip the thawed fish fillets into the batter and fry until crispy and brown. Quick to make and delicious. A great idea for guests, too.
