Flap Jack
The perfect flap jack recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 225 g Oatmeal
- 85 g Cane sugar
- 150 g Butter
- 20 g Beet syrup
- Mix the oat flakes and cane sugar. Melt the butter in a saucepan and add to the oatmeal mixture together with the cane sugar. Mix everything together well, place on a baking tray lined with baking paper and plate about 5 – 6 mm thin. Press down well at the same time.
- Preheat the oven to 160 ° O / bottom heat and place the tray in the oven for 15 – 20 minutes on the second rail from the bottom. The mass should get a light brown color. Then take it out immediately and cut into 4 cm pieces while still hot. This is a bit bad with the crunchy oat flakes, but you can “push” the still hot mass well, and that way you can create small gaps. When the particles have cooled down, they have to be kept firmly in a lockable box in the refrigerator for about 1 hour and then stored there later. There they become really caramel-crunchy and are addicting while snacking …. ;-))
- The above-mentioned number of people refers to half a sheet of metal and people ?????, well, that depends on how quickly each individual accesses and what gets from it … )
