Instructions
Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes
Chicken with lemon
Wash the chicken inside and out under running water, pat dry. Wash 1 lemon and slice it. Squeeze the juices of the other two. Preheat the oven to 200°C. Peel the garlic and cut it into sticks. Pick the rosemary needles. Pierce the skin of the chicken several times with the tip of a knife. Be careful not to damage the meat!!!! Insert the rosemary needles and the garlic sticks into the punctures. Rub the chicken with salt and pepper. Melt the butter and mix it with the lemon juice. Brush the chicken on all sides with this. Now place the chicken in a roasting pan. Arrange the lemon slices on top. Place everything on the middle rack and roast for approx. 1 hour and 20 minutes. Brush with the lemon butter every now and then. Finally, drizzle with the meat juices. Let it rest for a moment, cut into pieces and enjoy. Serve with white bread. Or if the chicken is supposed to serve 4 people, serve it with rosemary potatoes!
