Focaccia al Formaggio di Capra con Fichi

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 250 g wheat flour
  • 1 cup of natural yogurt
  • 2 tbsp water
  • ½ pack of baking powder
  • 8 figs
  • 150 g goat’s cheese
  • 150 g goat Camembert (roll)
  • salt and pepper
  • possibly honey, liquid to taste

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 40 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour

Mix together the flour, yogurt, and baking powder, adding 1-2 tablespoons of water depending on the moisture content. Knead the dough until soft. Spread the dough onto a baking sheet lined with baking paper, about 1 cm thick. To do this, moisten a spatula with water. Spread the goat’s cheese on the dough. Season with pepper. Then quarter the figs and spread them on the dough. Cut the goat’s Camembert into about 1 cm thick slices and also arrange them between the figs. Preheat the oven to 200°C and place the baking sheet in the oven. Bake for about 30-40 minutes on the middle rack. Serve warm, drizzle with honey beforehand. This recipe serves two people as a main meal or 4-6 people as a starter.
