Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 750 g sweet cherries
- Butter for the mold
- 40 g sugar
- 20 g icing sugar for sprinkling
- 3 eggs
- 60 g sugar
- 30 g flour
- 300 ml milk
- ½ lemon(s), grated peel
Instructions
Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes
Wash, dry, and pit the sweet cherries. Grease a baking dish with butter. Distribute the cherries evenly in the dish and sprinkle with 40g of sugar. Preheat the oven to 220°C. Meanwhile, for the batter, thoroughly mix the eggs, sugar, flour, and grated lemon zest with a whisk or hand mixer. Pour over the cherries. Bake the casserole on the middle rack of a preheated oven for about 45-50 minutes until golden brown. Sprinkle with powdered sugar and serve immediately. Delicious hot or cold.
