Fried potatoes Northeast Chinese style

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 5 m.-sized potatoes, waxy
  • 2 large carrots
  • 10 shots of balsamic vinegar, white
  • 2 tsp salt
  • some olive oil

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 12 minutes; Total time approx. 32 minutes

Peel the potatoes and carrots and slice them into thin strips or grate them in a food processor. Pour the oil into a frying pan and add the potato and carrot strips. Sprinkle with salt. Fry over high heat for about 1 minute, stirring frequently. After 1 minute, add the vinegar. Stir occasionally and cover and cook over medium heat for about 10 minutes. Tip: You can also add a finely diced onion and fry it along with the potatoes and carrots. Season with pepper and nutmeg.
