Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 g flour
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 250 ml water
  • n. B. herbs, optional
  • n. B. Salt
  • 500 g potatoes, waxy
  • 1 onion(s), finely chopped
  • n. B. Oil

Instructions

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

Make a dough from the flour, egg, water, optional herbs, and salt (if you have time, you can let it rest for about an hour, but it will work without). Roll the dough into long sausage rolls and cut them into pieces. Peel the potatoes, cut them into bite-sized pieces, and boil them in salted water. Bring another pot of water to a boil. Add the small pieces of dough in batches and cook until they float to the surface. When they float, remove them with a slotted spoon. Place the cooked potatoes in a pot with the cooked dough pieces. Add a generous amount of oil (I use olive oil) to a pan along with a finely chopped onion, and sauté the onion. Add the onion mixture to the potatoes and dough and stir well. Serve hot. Tip: Add a cup of whipped cream or Rama Cremefine to the sautéed onions, bring to a gentle boil, and then add to the potato and dough mixture.
