Garlic – Lemon – Chicken

Ingredients for 6 servings:

  • ½ cup thyme, freshly plucked
  • 2 kg chicken breast fillet(s)
  • 1 bulb(s) garlic, cut into unpeeled cloves
  • 2 lemons, untreated, quartered
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 150 ml white wine
  • pepper, black

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Preheat oven to 160°C. Place the chicken breast fillet in an ovenproof dish with the garlic cloves, quartered lemons, and thyme, and add the olive oil. Mix well with your hands and spread evenly. Drizzle with the white wine and season with black pepper. Cover the dish with aluminum foil and place in the oven for 2 hours. Then remove the aluminum foil and increase the oven temperature to 200°C. Cook for another 30-45 minutes. Serve directly from the oven with lemon rice.
