Glazed Salmon
The perfect glazed salmon recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 2 piece Salmon fillet, approx. 150 grams per person
- 2 tbsp Cajun spice mix, recipe in my cookbook
- 2 tbsp Sugar, brown — dark if possible
- 3 tbsp Maple syrup
- 6 tbsp Orange juice
- Oil for frying
- Mix the spice mixture with the sugar and rub the fillets well on all sides. “Let it steep” for about 10 to 15 minutes. 2. In the meantime, put on a small saucepan with the syrup and juice and simmer for a short time. Season to taste and possibly add syrup or juice. No spices!
- 3. Heat oil in a pan (coated); fry the salmon. First skin (if present) down; when the salmon changes color by a third, turn as carefully as possible. The salmon is ready when you can divide the fillet with a fork (approx. 3 to 5 minutes).
- 4. Arrange on a plate and cover with the syrup-juice mixture. 5. My favorite side dishes are: brown rice and salad. 6. Note: I serve this dish with rice and double glaze mixture (so delicious!)
