Glazed Salmon

The perfect glazed salmon recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 2 piece Salmon fillet, approx. 150 grams per person
  • 2 tbsp Cajun spice mix, recipe in my cookbook

  • 2 tbsp Sugar, brown — dark if possible
  • 3 tbsp Maple syrup
  • 6 tbsp Orange juice
  • Oil for frying
  1. Mix the spice mixture with the sugar and rub the fillets well on all sides. “Let it steep” for about 10 to 15 minutes. 2. In the meantime, put on a small saucepan with the syrup and juice and simmer for a short time. Season to taste and possibly add syrup or juice. No spices!
  2. 3. Heat oil in a pan (coated); fry the salmon. First skin (if present) down; when the salmon changes color by a third, turn as carefully as possible. The salmon is ready when you can divide the fillet with a fork (approx. 3 to 5 minutes).
  3. 4. Arrange on a plate and cover with the syrup-juice mixture. 5. My favorite side dishes are: brown rice and salad. 6. Note: I serve this dish with rice and double glaze mixture (so delicious!)
