Gluing porcelain – that’s how it works
- Ideally, when gluing porcelain, you should use special porcelain glue. This means that the porcelain can continue to be rinsed hot.
- Only apply a thin layer of glue to the breaking points. Otherwise, it swells out when you press it together and leaves unsightly traces of glue.
- Take your time to repair it. You should hold each breakpoint together for about 3 minutes so that the glue can tighten a little.
- If you don’t have porcelain glue at hand, you can alternatively use super glue. However, with this bonding method, you should only wash the porcelain later by hand and not use water that is too hot.
