Gnocchi with shrimp and lime sauce

Ingredients for 3 servings:

  • 500 g gnocchi
  • salt water
  • 250 g shrimp(s)
  • 500 g asparagus, green
  • 2 small onions
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 200 ml vegetable stock
  • 200 ml cream
  • 2 tsp honey
  • 1 lime(s), untreated, zest and juice
  • salt and pepper
  • 2 tsp sauce thickener, light

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 50 minutes

Wash and dry the shrimp. Trim the asparagus, peel the lower third, and slice it diagonally into thin slices. Cook the gnocchi in hot, salted water according to the package instructions. Wash and dice the onions and fry them with the asparagus in the heated butter for about 3 minutes. Add the shrimp and fry until nicely browned with a little salt and pepper. Pour in the stock and cream, bring to a boil, and season with honey, lime juice and zest, salt, and pepper. Thicken the sauce slightly with a sauce thickener. Mix in the gnocchi, arrange on 3 plates, and serve.
