Goat cheese rolls fried in Parma ham

Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 4 slices of Parma ham
  • 2 pts. cheese (rolled goat cheese)
  • olive oil
  • pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

Cut the goat cheese rolls into approximately 5-6 cm long pieces and season lightly with coarse, freshly ground pepper. Wrap the rolls with slices of Parma ham and secure them crosswise with a wooden toothpick. Fry the rolled cheese rolls in olive oil in a pan (medium heat) until lightly browned, with the open sides (cheese sides). This firms the cooking surface and prevents the cheese from seeping out. Then fry the ham sides until the desired color is reached. Serve immediately. As an appetizer, serve with fresh lamb’s lettuce with croutons and ciabatta. The quantities depend on the type of dish (starter or main course).
