Goulash soup

Ingredients for 10 servings:

  • 1 kg beef
  • 2 large onions
  • 3 large potatoes
  • 3 m.-large carrot(s)
  • 3 bell pepper(s), red
  • 2 ½ liters of meat broth
  • 1 tbsp paprika powder, rose hot
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 tsp marjoram
  • 2 cans of mushrooms
  • n. B. roux

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 2 hours; Total time approx. 2 hours 30 minutes

Dice the onions and fry until golden brown. Add the diced meat and fry. Deglaze with the broth. Simmer with the lid on for 90 minutes. Dice the carrots, bell peppers, potatoes, and mushrooms, add to the soup, and simmer for 30 minutes. Season the soup to taste with salt, pepper, and paprika, and thicken with a little flour.
