Grapes in vinegar

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 3 kg grapes
  • 1 ½ kg sugar
  • 15 g cinnamon
  • 375 ml white wine
  • 15 cloves
  • 4 bay leaves
  • 1 liter vinegar (wine vinegar)

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Bring the wine, spices, and sugar to a boil and let cool. Transfer the grapes to a stoneware container or preserving jar and pour the cooled liquid over them. Store in a cool place and let it steep for three weeks. To prevent fermentation, drain the juice every few days and simply bring it back to a boil. Once cooled, pour it over the grapes again and seal tightly.
