Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 2,000 g potatoes
  • 2 m.-sized onion(s)
  • 3 tsp, leveled salt
  • 4 m.-sized eggs
  • 60 g wheat flour type 405 (instant flour)
  • 250 g lard

Instructions

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 25 minutes

Peel and wash the potatoes. Peel the onions. Grate the potatoes and onions and mix with salt, eggs, and flour. Heat the lard, add the potato batter a tablespoon at a time, flatten, and fry on both sides until brown and crispy, turning occasionally. Serve with applesauce or beetroot syrup.
