Grill Vegetarian: 7 Delicious Recipe Ideas

Grill vegetarian: vegetable skewer

A classic vegetable mixture on a metal skewer is now part of every barbecue evening.

  1. To do this, place pieces of vegetables measuring about 3 by 3 centimeters in random order on the skewer.
  2. Suitable ingredients are, for example, peppers, onions, zucchini, mushrooms, or tofu slices. Before grilling, oil the skewer with olive oil.
  3. Grill the skewer well away from the charcoal so nothing burns. As soon as most of the pieces are brown, the vegetable skewer is ready.
  4. Enjoy the skewer with delicious dips like guacamole or sour cream.

Vegetarian herb feta on the grill

Feta wrapped in aluminum foil is a great way to soak up the flavor of fresh herbs.

  1. Brush all sides of the feta with olive oil and place on a sufficiently large piece of aluminum foil.
  2. Now place fresh herbs such as oregano, sage, rosemary, or thyme on the top side.
  3. Close the packet and grill the cheese for about 10 to 15 minutes. You can then eat it straight from the aluminum foil after removing the herbs.

Mixed grilled vegetables

Similar to the vegetable skewer, you can also grill mixed vegetables in a grill basket or an aluminum tray.

  1. The vegetables are particularly tasty if you marinate them with olive oil, salt, pepper, and some herbs beforehand. Peppers, cherry tomatoes, onions, zucchini, and mushrooms are ideal for the basket.
  2. Grill the vegetables away from the coals for about 10 minutes. Then you can serve it and enjoy it with tzatziki.

Stuffed peppers on the grill

Stuffed peppers not only work well in the oven but can also be carefully grilled.

  1. Find some large yellow or red peppers and remove the seeds and white inner skin. Cream cheese, pre-cooked rice, or mozzarella can be used as a filling. Season the filling with hot paprika powder and some Tabasco.
  2. As with the vegetables, you must grill the peppers carefully and not too hot. When the outer skin of the pepper turns brown, it’s done.

Corn on the Cob – Vegetarian and delicious

Corn on the cob can be eaten raw and is therefore quick and easy to grill.

  1. Marinate the cobs in advance with a little olive oil, pepper, and sweet paprika powder. After a short time, the corn cobs begin to turn brown.
  2. Serve the corn while it’s still hot. You can then bite off the cobs directly or cut the grains onto the plate with a sharp knife. A fiery salsa sauce is particularly recommended.

Grill veggie sausages

Veggie sausages are now available from a wide variety of suppliers. Although they taste very different from normal sausages, they are in no way inferior to them.

  1. Grill the veggie sausages just like you would the meat alternative.
  2. However, veggie sausages may be a bit drier. Therefore, grab a generous helping of sauces, mustard, or ketchup.
  3. In addition to veggie sausages, you can now find veggie steaks and similar grilled goods on many supermarket shelves.

Garlic baguette slices

Baguettes have always been a popular barbecue side dish. You can spice it up with a bit of garlic.

  1. Crush a clove of garlic very finely and mix it with a little olive oil. Spread this mixture on top and bottom of each baguette slice before grilling.
  2. After a short time, the letters should be crisp and slightly brownish. Depending on your taste, you can carefully rub parts of a fresh clove of garlic on the crispy baguette slice.
