Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 2 large onions
  • 200 g Black Forest ham
  • 2 cans of white beans
  • 6 tbsp tomato ketchup
  • 4 tbsp mustard
  • 2 tbsp sugar

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 40 minutes; Total time approx. 50 minutes

First, dice the ham and onions and sauté them together in a large pot. Meanwhile, strain and drain the beans. Once the onions are translucent, add the beans and stir everything together with the ketchup, mustard, and sugar. Simmer over low heat for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally. This dish goes best with a delicious pork chop or simply a baguette.
