Hazelnut and Cranberry Stars
The perfect hazelnut and cranberry stars recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 3 piece Protein
- 1 pinch Sea salt fine
- 250 g Sugar
- 1 packet Bourbon vanilla sugar
- 400 g Ground hazelnuts
- 1 tsp Ground cinnamon
- 3 tbsp Amaretto
- 5 tbsp Cranberry jam
- 1 something Dried cranberries to decorate
- Beat the egg white together with the salt until stiff.
- Gradually add the sugar and vanilla sugar and continue beating until the sugar has dissolved.
- Fold the hazelnuts, cinnamon and the liqueur into the protein and sugar mixture. Then let the dough rest in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes.
- Now roll out the nut dough thinly and cut out stars in two different sizes.
- Place the dough stars on a baking sheet lined with baking paper and bake in the preheated electric oven, top / bottom heat 180 degrees, with convection 160 degrees for about 10 minutes.
- After baking, let the hazelnut stars cool down. Then smear 2 stars with a little jam and stack them on top of each other (the smaller one is always on top).
- Place the cranberries with some jam in the middle of the top star and let the jam dry. Then enjoy the stars.
