Hazelnut and Cranberry Stars

The perfect hazelnut and cranberry stars recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 3 piece Protein
  • 1 pinch Sea salt fine
  • 250 g Sugar
  • 1 packet Bourbon vanilla sugar
  • 400 g Ground hazelnuts
  • 1 tsp Ground cinnamon
  • 3 tbsp Amaretto
  • 5 tbsp Cranberry jam
  • 1 something Dried cranberries to decorate
  1. Beat the egg white together with the salt until stiff.
  2. Gradually add the sugar and vanilla sugar and continue beating until the sugar has dissolved.
  3. Fold the hazelnuts, cinnamon and the liqueur into the protein and sugar mixture. Then let the dough rest in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes.
  4. Now roll out the nut dough thinly and cut out stars in two different sizes.
  5. Place the dough stars on a baking sheet lined with baking paper and bake in the preheated electric oven, top / bottom heat 180 degrees, with convection 160 degrees for about 10 minutes.
  6. After baking, let the hazelnut stars cool down. Then smear 2 stars with a little jam and stack them on top of each other (the smaller one is always on top).
  7. Place the cranberries with some jam in the middle of the top star and let the jam dry. Then enjoy the stars.
