simple and delicious – perfect for the cold season
Cut half a head of cabbage into bite-sized pieces, peel the carrots and potatoes and also cut them into bite-sized pieces. Roughly dice the onions. Then fry the minced meat in oil and season with salt and pepper to taste. Just before the meat is cooked through, add the chopped onions and sauté until translucent. Then add the tomato paste and diced ham and sauté briefly. Deglaze everything with the white wine and let it simmer briefly. Now add the chopped vegetables and sauté as well. Finally, pour in the vegetable stock until everything is covered. If there isn’t enough stock, you can top up with water. Finally, season everything with salt, pepper, caraway seeds, and paprika and simmer over medium heat for 30 minutes. Season again before serving. Tip: The stew tastes even better reheated.
