Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Creamy light dessert with an oriental touch

Cook the basmati rice in water with a little salt according to the package instructions (or use leftover rice from the day before), then let it cool. Gently mix the cooled rice with the quark or yogurt and honey. Ladle into dessert bowls, dust with cinnamon (or stir it in beforehand), and serve. Tip: Serve with fruit or compote, if desired. Variation: Stir in raisins or almond slivers. It tastes wonderful, and the spices harmonize so well that it takes on a certain oriental touch. It’s not very complicated to prepare, yet it has such a big effect.
