Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 4 eggs
- 40 g butter, liquid
- 250 g flour, finely sieved
- 50 g sugar
- 1 sachet of vanilla sugar
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 150 ml milk
- possibly mineral water
- some butter for the waffle iron
- Compote as desired, apple sauce or cream
Instructions
Working time approx. 5 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes
Combine the eggs and butter in a bowl and beat with a hand mixer until fluffy. Add the flour, sugar, vanilla sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, and milk one at a time and mix well. Stir in a splash of mineral water, if desired. Bake the batter in a buttered waffle iron, one at a time, until waffles form. Serve the hot waffles with compote, applesauce, or cream. Makes 9 waffles. We always start a dessert with soup.
