How Do You Cook Corn?

Fresh corn should be cooked on the cob. I always prepare a basic brew of water, butter, salt, garlic, and herbs. This broth is brought to a boil and then the corn cobs, freed from the shell, are added. Let the whole thing simmer on medium heat for about 45 minutes.

If you want to grill the cobs, you can simmer them for just 20 minutes and then grill them for another 10 to 15 minutes.

Can you overcook corn?
