- 1.8 kg apples
- 275 ml apple juice
- 1.4 kg gelling sugar
- Cinnamon

Peel, core, and coarsely chop the apples. Cook with the apple juice until soft and slightly sagging. Remove from the heat, puree with a hand blender, and stir in the sugar. Stir until the apple mixture sticks to the wooden spoon. Season with cinnamon. Pour the apple butter into rinsed jars, secure the lids, and turn the jars upside down for a few minutes. It’s great for breakfast or on pancakes.
