Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 250 g flour
- 125 g sugar
- 1 packet of vanilla sugar
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 3 egg yolks
- 1 tbsp milk
- 1 tbsp rum
- 150 g butter
- Fat for the mold
- 3 egg whites
- 180 g sugar
- 3 tbsp semolina
- 700 g currants
- n. B. Wafers
- n. B. almond flakes

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 30 minutes

Make a dough from the ingredients. Place it in a greased springform pan, forming a raised edge. Prick the base several times with a fork. For the filling, beat the egg whites until stiff peaks form, gradually adding the sugar. Stir until stiff peaks form. Then stir in the semolina and fold in the currants. Line the dough with the wafers, spread the filling on top, and sprinkle with sliced almonds, if desired. Bake the cake at 140°C (fan oven) for about 60 minutes. Makes about 16 slices.
