Jungle-Style Finger Food: These Snacks Make The TV Party Eerily Beautiful

Cucumber-sized snake – agile and tasty

  • Cucumbers are an ideal party snack, and they can also be designed in a wide variety of shapes. First, cut the cucumbers into pieces about one centimeter long, only leaving the head of the latter snake a bit larger. Then spread the pieces a little apart and create a bit of free space for each. Arrange the cucumber pieces so that they look like moving snakes.
  • You can then place more snacks in the free spaces. For example, small pieces of baguette, tomatoes, or other snacks that you and your guests like to eat with cucumbers. What you choose is up to you – you should choose according to your taste. With a tasty herb dip for the snake to slither around, you get a beautifully presented and delicious pickle platter.

Potato beetles – the somewhat different potato beetles

  • Beetles can be found in every jungle and many of them are considered a real delicacy. So that you don’t drive away your guests, you should use the variant made of potatoes and pretzel sticks. All you have to do is boil some potatoes and let them cool down slowly and completely. The potatoes should still be firm after cooking. Once cool, cut the potatoes in half and place cut-side up.
  • Now break some pretzel sticks into pieces about three centimeters long and add a total of six ‘legs’ to each potato half. Once you’ve crushed the pretzel sticks, season the potatoes and drizzle with oil or butter. Then you should put it in the oven for about 30 minutes at 180 degrees Celsius. Once they’re a nice color, they’re ready to serve, with ketchup for the eyes.

Snails – not slimy but simple and delicious

  • Pancakes are very popular among children and adults. In addition, they are easy and quick to make and also suitable for arranging them creatively. First, prepare a sufficient amount of pancakes. You should determine the amount based on your guests and the other snacks. When preparing the pancakes, make sure that they are as firm as possible, but not too dry, otherwise, they will break.
  • As soon as a pancake is ready, place it on a firm surface and cut strips about two centimeters wide and ten centimeters long, preferably rectangular. Now roll up the strip two or three times at one end so that you form the snail shell. With some jam between the layers of the snail shell, it will hold even better. You can make the snail’s eyes out of jam and cranberries, for example.

Garlic crocodile – elegant shape and good taste

  • For our garlic crocodile, you need a loaf of bread, grated cheese, 100 grams of butter, and two cloves of garlic. Instead of the grated cheese, you can also use oven cheese or raclette cheese. First, take a bread knife and cut the top of the bread lengthways and across the entire surface. The cut pieces should be between one and two centimeters in size. Cut the bread in such a way that the original shape is still preserved. Then place it on aluminum foil and fold up some of the foil on the sides so that the bread stays together.
  • Now crush the garlic cloves and add them to the melted butter. You can add pepper and salt as spices. Then drizzle the butter over the bread and into the cuts. After that, take the grated cheese and put some in each cut and on top. Then put the bread in the oven for about 15 minutes at 180 degrees Celsius. Once the cheese has melted, you can serve it. You get the green crocodile color by decorating it with parsley.

Grapes and cheese as caterpillars and maggots

  • Like snakes, caterpillars meander through every jungle, and maggots have been around since the first jungle camp. You can also serve these two jungle insects at your jungle party without any problems. All you need is a few grapes, skewers, and grated cheese. You can grate the cheese yourself or buy it grated, depending on how much time you want to invest.
  • For your caterpillars, stick so many grapes onto a wooden skewer that you can no longer see them from the outside. If you would like to add eyes to your caterpillars, you can use a herbal dip or any other dip you like, which you can then also serve. Then place the finished caterpillars on the grated cheese that you have previously distributed on a plate or platter. If you want to eat the cheese without any additional tools, you can also cut it into narrow strips, even then they are good maggots.

Beetle drink – good ingredients from the jungle

  • So that you not only have solid but also liquid food, you will receive a good recipe for a delicious beetle drink. However, the beetles are not really pureed with us, they are only used for naming. For the drink, you need four kiwis, two to three bananas, a liter of milk, half a lemon, two sachets of vanilla sugar, and, depending on your taste, chocolate nuts. First, peel the kiwis and banana and boil them up for a moment.
  • Once the mixture has boiled, turn off the stove. Now add the milk and squeeze out half the lemon. Then add the vanilla sugar and puree the drink again. Finally, add some small chocolate nuts that you have previously crushed or crushed. You can also take chopped chocolate. Then chill the drink until the party starts.
