Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 350 g bulgur
  • 400 g floury potatoes
  • 80 ml olive oil
  • Salt
  • Paprika powder, sweet
  • Cumin powder
  • 1 large onion(s)

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 50 minutes

Pour 350 ml of lukewarm water over the bulgur and let it swell until the water is completely absorbed. Peel the potatoes and cook in salted water until soft, then mash them. Finely dice the onion and sauté it in a pan with 70 ml of olive oil. Mix the bulgur, mashed potatoes, and onion until a firm mixture forms. Season to taste with salt, paprika, and cumin. Take a small amount of the mixture in your hand and briefly clench it in your fist. Open your hand again and arrange the resulting dumplings on a plate. Repeat the process with the remaining mixture. Drizzle the dumplings with the remaining olive oil before serving.
