Ingredients for 2 servings:
- 2 m.-large lime(s)
- 2 tbsp fish sauce
- 3 thick spring onions
- 2 m.-large onion(s), red
- 1 handful of chili pepper(s)
- 1 tsp chili powder, dried, coarsely ground
- 1 tsp brown sugar
- 1 tsp glutamate, optional
- 2 bunches of coriander
- 2 bunches of mint
- 500 g minced pork or minced beef
Instructions
Working time approx. 45 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour
First, separate the mint leaves from the stems and roughly chop them. Chop the coriander, including the stems. Clean the spring onions – cut the green part into roughly 0.5 cm pieces and the white part into very thin strips. Finely chop the chili peppers. Peel both onions, halve them in half, and slice them into thin rings. Set everything aside. Season the minced meat in the pan with plenty of pepper and add the juice of half a lime. Then fry the meat until crumbly, until it is cooked but not yet starting to brown. Meanwhile, add the remaining one and a half limes to a salad bowl with two tablespoons of fish sauce and mix. Then add the minced meat to the salad bowl. Add one teaspoon each of sugar, chili powder, and MSG and mix thoroughly. Then add the onions, spring onions, chili peppers, mint, and coriander and mix to combine.
