Lemons and Oranges Folk Sugar

The perfect lemons and oranges folk sugar recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 600 ml Water
  • 600 g Sugar
  • 2 Oranges
  • 2 Lemons
  1. 2 Lemons and 2 oranges peel off the peel separately.
  2. Now squeeze the lemons. Do the same with the oranges.
  3. Bring the water to a boil and immediately stir in the sugar.
  4. Divide the leuter sugar into 2 parts and stir the grated bowls into the leuter sugar. Add some of the juice and bring to the boil again.
  5. When hot, pour into one glass at a time, seal it airtight and turn it upside down until it has cooled down.
  6. Let this sugar syrup steep for at least a month. The older the better and the aroma just keeps getting better.
  7. The prepared sugar can be flavored for desserts and fine cakes.
