Light pasta salad for warm days

Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 250 g pasta (spiral pasta)
  • 1 ball(s) of mozzarella
  • 4 tomatoes (preferably vine tomatoes)
  • 6 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 clove(s) garlic
  • Salt
  • pepper
  • Basil, fresh or if not available dried

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

First, cook the pasta in salted water until “al dente.” While the pasta is cooking, cut the tomatoes and mozzarella into small pieces. Add both to a large bowl. Then, toss the tomatoes and mozzarella with olive oil, a little salt and pepper, and one or two garlic cloves (depending on taste) crushed through a garlic press. Then, add a few basil leaves—whichever you prefer best. You should also chop the basil a bit, as this brings out the flavor more. Once the pasta is “al dente,” drain it and add it to the bowl with all the other ingredients. Mix everything together again, and the salad is ready to eat. The warm pasta melts the mozzarella even more, which is delicious. This recipe is great for warm days!
