Macaroni in mushroom and cheese sauce

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 g mushrooms
  • 7 spring onions (substitute 1 large onion)
  • 4 tbsp butter
  • 500 g macaroni
  • Salt and pepper, colorful from the mill
  • 250 g cream cheese spread
  • basil
  • Parsley
  • ¼ liter of water
  • ¼ liter cream
  • some flour for dusting, optional

Instructions

Working time approx. 35 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 50 minutes

Cook the macaroni in plenty of salted water, slice the spring onions, and thinly slice the mushrooms. Heat the butter, sauté the mushrooms all over, add the spring onions, and sauté briefly. Add the herbs, season with salt and pepper (or sprinkle with a little flour and sauté if desired). Stir in the water and cream, bring to a boil, and melt the cheese into the sauce while stirring. Drain the pasta, drain well, and serve with the sauce on plates.
