  • 300 ml cream or milk
  • 1 egg(s)

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 45 minutes

My family is addicted to this simple spaghetti casserole.

Cook the spaghetti according to the package instructions until al dente, drain, and set aside. Cut the salami into small pieces and fry in a little oil in a pan until crispy. Place a layer of spaghetti in a not-too-shallow baking dish, spread half the salami and half the cheese on top, then add another layer of spaghetti, then spread the rest of the salami and cheese on top, then finish with another layer of spaghetti. Whisk the cream or milk with the egg, a little ketchup, salt, and pepper and pour evenly over the casserole. Sprinkle everything thinly with breadcrumbs and dot with a few knobs of butter. Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C (convection oven) for about 20-30 minutes, until the surface is nice and crispy. If you don’t have a fan-assisted oven, you can place the casserole under the grill on the top rack at the end. Serve with tomato sauce.
