Ingredients for 3 servings:

  • 3 tbsp paprika paste, mild or hot, according to taste
  • 3 tbsp tomato paste
  • 250 ml walnuts, chopped or coarsely ground
  • 1 rusk or crispbread
  • 1 garlic clove(s)
  • 6 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp oregano
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • ½ tsp cumin
  • 1 pinch(s) of sugar
  • some salt and pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Walnut, tomato, and pepper spread, vegan, Turkish

Place the paprika and tomato paste in a deep bowl. Finely crumble the rusks or crispbread, chop or coarsely grind the walnuts, press the garlic clove, and add everything to the bowl. Add the coriander powder, oregano, cumin, pepper, salt, sugar, and olive oil and mix well. The amounts of olive oil, garlic, salt, and spices can be adjusted to taste. If you like, you can add fresh ingredients like finely chopped parsley or the juice of half a lemon.
