  • 200 g Fresh forest mushrooms (here: porcini mushrooms and chestnuts collected in the Harz Mountains!)
  • 1 Yesterday's rolls
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 Onion approx. 100 g

  • 0,5 tsp Pepper
  • 1 tbsp Rubbed thyme
  • 1 Cup Oil
  • 2 cups Breadcrumbs

Instructions

  • Carefully clean the mushrooms and cut into pieces. Peel and dice the onion. Peel and finely dice the garlic cloves. Wash parsley, shake dry and pluck (1 cup). Soak the roll in water and squeeze it out well. Put all ingredients (200 g pieces of forest mushroom, 1 squeezed out roll, 1 egg, 100 g onion cubes, 4 garlic cubes, 1 cup parsley plucked, 1 teaspoon salt, ½ teaspoon pepper and 1 tablespoon thyme rubbed) in a bowl and mix well Let the dough rest for 10 minutes. Shape meatballs (approx. 8 pieces) with moistened hands, roll in breadcrumbs and fry in a pan with oil (1 cup) on both sides until golden-brown. The mushroom buns could be part of a dish or they just taste like that!
