Clean the mushrooms and chop them into small pieces, along with the onions and garlic. Mix everything well and let it sit for about two hours. Now stir in the chopped almonds or nuts. Knead in the egg, then add the oats and mix until you reach a formable consistency. Form the mixture into small balls (there should be enough for 20 small meatballs) and place them on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C (convection oven) for about 30-35 minutes. Open the oven door occasionally to allow steam to escape. Serve with a green salad and potato gratin.
