Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 g potatoes
  • 500 g mushrooms, brown, cleaned, sliced
  • 200 g bacon, diced
  • 1 bunch of spring onions, cut into strips
  • 1 garlic clove(s), chopped
  • 20 g fat
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 200 ml milk
  • 1 tsp butter
  • salt and pepper
  • Thyme
  • 200 g cheese, grated

Instructions

Working time approx. 35 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 35 minutes

Mushroom ragout topped with mashed potatoes

Peel the potatoes and boil in salted water. Heat the milk with the butter. Drain the cooked potatoes, mash them, and mash them with the milk until fluffy. Season with salt and a little pepper. Sauté the garlic clove, spring onion, and bacon. Add the mushrooms and fry for about 10 minutes. Season with salt, pepper, and thyme, and stir in the sour cream. Transfer the mushroom mixture to a greased dish and pour the mashed potatoes loosely over the potatoes. Sprinkle with cheese and bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for about 40 minutes.
