Ingredients for 15 servings:
- 400g Nutella
- 1 packet of vanilla sugar
- 1 pinch of salt
- 5 eggs
- 200 g flour
- 1 packet of baking powder
- 200 g hazelnuts, ground
- 100 g nuts, chopped
- 1 cup of cream
- 1 pack of cream stiffener
- 1 packet of vanilla sugar
- some cake icing, chocolate
Instructions
Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes
For the batter, mix the Nutella with the vanilla sugar and salt until smooth. Carefully beat in the eggs one at a time. Mix the flour with the baking powder, sift it over the cake and mix well. Finally, fold in the nuts. Pour the batter into a greased springform pan and bake at 180°C for about 30 minutes. For the topping, whip the cream with the cream stiffener and vanilla sugar until stiff. Sprinkle the center of the cake with a little chocolate icing and decorate all around with the cream. Not really suitable for filling, as the cake is quite dense. So it’s a pretty substantial cake, perfect as a substitute for a gateau.
