Honey is a product that can lead to colds in the cold season. This was told by the famous nutritionist and nutrigenetics Andriy Zolotarev.

Many people like to drink tea with honey, but this drink can be dangerous for the body under certain conditions, the expert said. The thing is that honey has a pronounced warming effect on the body, plus it causes excessive sweating.

“One of the most terrible products that really should be consumed with great caution in the cold season is honey. The fact is that honey has a pronounced warming effect, which causes excessive sweating. People don’t feel it, but eating honey in winter before going out or right on the street can provoke a cold,” warned Zolotarev.

The nutritionist advises consuming honey exclusively at home when it is warm. According to him, any products that have a warming or cooling effect should be treated with caution, taking into account the air temperature.
