a hearty, delicious surprise for any children’s or adult party
Peel the potatoes and dice them. Clean and dice the shallots. If necessary, remove any sand from the mushrooms and dice them. Dice the smoked pork belly. Place these four ingredients in a greased wok, season with the spices, fry until golden brown, and then set aside. Crack the eggs into a bowl, mix with the four spices and the grated cheese, and finally stir in the potato, mushroom, onion, and bell pepper mixture. Add half of this mixture to the wok, alternate layers of cooked ham and cheese in the center, and spread the other half of the mixture over them. Let the mixture set in the covered wok over medium heat. After about 10 minutes, turn it over using a large plate and bake for another 10 minutes, until the egg mixture is completely set. The surprise omelet is now ready to serve, and everyone will be grateful for this successful party dish. To serve, it is then cut like a cake.
