Ingredients
Cookie dough
- 200 g Flour
- 100 g Margarine
- 100 g Sugar
- 1 Knife point Baking powder
- 1 Pc. Egg
- 1 Pc. Lemon, zest
- 1 Pc. Orange, abrasion
- 1 tsp Vanilla sugar
- 2 drops Orange aroma
filling
- Pumpkin jam
Decoration
- 100 g Roasted and salted macadamia nuts
- 80 g Sugar
- Edible gold powder
Instructions
Cookie dough
- Mix the butter, sugar and egg until frothy. Add the vanilla sugar, lemon zest and orange zest, baking powder and flour and work into a kneading dough. Season the mixture with the orange zest. Then the dough is filled into the piping bag with a star nozzle and sprinkled in snails onto a baking sheet lined with baking paper. The cookies are baked for about 15 minutes at 180 degrees. The cooled cookies are coated with pumpkin jam and another cookie is placed on top.
Decoration
- Caramelize the sugar in a non-stick pan and add the chopped macadamia nuts. Macadamia and caramel heaps are then placed on the double-decker biscuits using a greased teaspoon. To top it off, the finished cookies are dusted with gold powder.
