Pasta salad – the quick barbecue side dish

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 250 g noodles, Mie noodles (ready-made product)
  • 2 bell peppers, pickled, without skin, (preferably grilled) Ready-made product
  • 3 spring onions
  • n.e. chili flakes, mild (e.g. Pul Biber)
  • ½ clove(s) garlic
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 tsp oriental spice mix (Baharat)
  • 1 tsp balsamic vinegar (preferably: cassis balsamic vinegar)
  • 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 3 tbsp peanut oil (more or less if you like!) or sesame oil

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Cook the pasta according to the package instructions, drain, and let cool. Drain the pickled peppers and cut into fine diamond-shaped pieces. Clean the spring onions and cut them diagonally into approximately 2 cm long pieces. Finely chop the garlic and mix with olive oil, salt, pepper, baharat, chili, and balsamic vinegar to make a marinade. Mix the marinade well with the pasta and season with peanut oil.
