Pasta with broccoli and chorizo

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 300g penne
  • salt water
  • 1 m.-large broccoli
  • 1 small onion(s)
  • 100g chorizo
  • 2 cups of cream
  • 1 tbsp tomato paste
  • salt and pepper
  • Fat for frying
  • possibly cornstarch or flour to bind
  • possibly Parmesan

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Cook the pasta in salted water according to the package instructions. Meanwhile, cut the broccoli into small florets and cook in salted water for about 8 minutes. Finely chop the onion and sauté in a little oil or margarine. Finely chop the chorizo ​​and add to the onions. Sauté both briefly. Deglaze with cream and simmer for a moment. Thicken the sauce with a little cornstarch or flour. Drain the broccoli and add to the sauce. Mix everything well. Season with salt and pepper. Finally, fold the drained pasta into the sauce. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese, if desired, and serve.
