Pasta with creamy mushroom carbonara sauce

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 onion(s)
  • 1 clove(s) garlic
  • 300 ml cream
  • 1 some olive oil
  • 500 g pasta
  • 1 pinch(s) of salt and pepper
  • 2 eggs
  • 500 g mushrooms
  • 1 small piece of Parmesan cheese, finely grated

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Prepare the pasta according to the package instructions. When it’s al dente, drain. Dice the onion. Chop the garlic. Slice the mushrooms. Sauté everything in a pan with a little olive oil for about 10 minutes, until the mushrooms start to brown. Add the pasta to the pan and sauté briefly. Meanwhile, whisk 300ml of cream with 2 egg yolks and the Parmesan cheese. Season with salt and pepper. Immediately pour over the pasta and cook for another 2-4 minutes, stirring constantly. Serve in the pan, garnished with Parmesan cheese if desired.
