Pasta with tomato and tuna sauce

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 g pasta (e.g. penne)
  • 1 onion(s), finely chopped
  • 1 garlic clove(s), finely chopped
  • 1 large can of tomatoes
  • some tomato puree
  • 100 ml red wine
  • 1 can of tuna
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 pinch(s) of sugar
  • e.g. basil, fresh
  • e.g. oregano, fresh
  • n. B. Thyme, fresh
  • some olive oil
  • possibly water if needed
  • e.g. Parmesan, freshly grated

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Cook the pasta in salted water according to the package instructions until al dente, then drain through a sieve. Sauté the finely chopped onion and garlic clove in a little hot olive oil, then add the tomatoes and tomato puree. Deglaze with red wine and a little water, if desired. Season with salt, pepper, sugar, and fresh herbs. Drain the tuna and add it to the sauce at the end, heating it gently. Finally, mix the sauce with the pasta and serve. Serve with freshly grated Parmesan cheese, if desired.
