Ingredients

  • 4 Sour pickled biscuit herring fillets
  • 1 Red pepper
  • 2 Onions
  • 2 tbsp Hijack
  • 1 tbsp Dill
  • 3 Gherkins
  • 1 tsp Dried tarragon
  • 300 ml Broth from water-mild vinegar-salt-pepper-sugar-some mild oil

Instructions

  • I halved the herring fillets lengthways so that the rolls are quite narrow .. the pepper is cleaned and is cut into very small cubes. One onion is chopped very finely .. the other onion is cut into rings .. the customary sweet ones I cut the pickled cucumbers into fine slices ..
  • I filled the herring fillets with chopped onions and diced peppers and rolled them up. I put the stock for the broth in a stone pot. filled up with tarragon, dill, capers, onion rings .. the cucumber slices also go into the stone pot .. in this mixture I put the herring rolls ... a little dill on top ... lid on pot .... I leave the whole thing for 2 days
  • pull through ... it works without a stone pot, in a bowl ... is a great hangover breakfast or after way too many biscuits ..................
