Cut the feta cheese into cubes. Peel the onions and garlic and slice into thin rings. Layer the cheese, onions, and garlic with the olives, bay leaves, and whole chili peppers in a sufficiently large jar with a twist-off lid. For the marinade, mix the oil with salt, pepper, and oregano and pour over the ingredients. The oil mixture should cover the ingredients! Add a little more oil if necessary. Let it marinate in the refrigerator for at least a week. Once the feta cheese has been eaten, please do not throw away the oil. It is ideal for salad dressings or for searing chicken or turkey.
