Quark Cream Cake
The perfect quark cream cake recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
For the dough:
- 3 Egg yolk
- 3 tbsp Warm water
- 150 g Sugar
- 1 packet Vanilla sugar
- 100 g Flour
- 100 g Food starch
- 3 tsp Baking powder
- 3 Protein
For the filling:
- 1000 g Quark
- 250 g Sugar
- 1 tbsp Lemon juice
- 2 packet Gelatin
- 2 cups Whipped cream
- 2 Cans Mandarins
For decoration:
- 2 cups Whipped cream
- 2 packet Vanilla sugar
- 2 packet Cream stiffener
For the dough:
- Put the egg yolk and warm water in a bowl and stir until frothy.
- Add sugar and vanilla sugar and stir.
- Mix the flour, cornstarch and baking powder, sieve, add and stir in.
- Beat the egg whites until stiff, add and stir in.
- Put the dough in a springform pan.
- Bake at 175 degrees top and bottom heat for about 30 minutes.
For the filling:
- Put quark, sugar and lemon juice in a bowl and stir.
- Mix the gelatine, let it swell and add to the quark mixture.
- Whip the whipped cream until stiff and stir in.
- Cut through the base once, put a cake ring around it and spread half of the quark cream on the first base.
- Drain the tangerines and set aside 12 pieces for decoration. Place the mandarins on the cake.
- Put the rest of the quark cream on top.
- Lay the second shelf on top.
For decoration:
- Beat the whipped cream with the vanilla sugar and cream stiffener until stiff.
- Spread the cream on the cake and the edge.
- Put the remaining cream in a piping bag, decorate the cake and place the remaining 12 mandarins on top.
