Quark – Poppy Seed Cake
The perfect quark – poppy seed cake recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
Dough:
- 250 g Sifted flour
- 150 g Sugar
- 125 g Margarine
- 1 Pc. Egg yolk
- 1 tsp Grated lemon peel
- 1 tsp Baking powder
- 1 packet Vanilla sugar
Poppy seed mass:
- 1 packet Ground poppy seeds
- 100 ml Water cold
- 1 Pc. Protein
Creamy quark :
- 125 g Butter
- 150 g Sugar
- 1 packet Vanilla sugar
- 1 tsp Grated lemon peel
- 4 Pc. Egg yolk
- 500 g Quark semi-fat
- 500 g Custard powder
In the streusel:
- 2 tablespoon Chestnuts, grated
Dough for the base:
- Quickly knead all ingredients to make crumble.
- Grease the springform tin (26), switch on the oven to 170 ° C. Spread 2/3 of the crumble on the base and press it down.
Poppy seed mass:
- Mix the poppy seeds with the water and egg white, stir until smooth, allow to swell. Then rub on the floor for about 10 minutes.
Creamy quark :
- Beat butter + sugar until frothy, add vanilla sugar, vanilla pudding powder, lemon peel + egg yolk. Stir in the quark, spread over the poppy seeds.
In the streusel:
