- 1 small onion(s)
- 1 small apple
- salt and pepper

- 100 g cream cheese
- 1 egg(s) for brushing
Instructions
Working time approx. 30 minutes; Rest time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 35 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 15 minutes
Peel and finely dice the onion. Peel, quarter, core, and dice the apple. Cut red cabbage (or use leftovers) into thin strips. Briefly fry the bacon cubes in a pan without fat. Add the diced onion and fry briefly. Add the apple and red cabbage to the bacon/onion mixture and fry for a few minutes, stirring. Season with salt, pepper, and a little sugar, then let cool. Remove the puff pastry from the packaging and roll up. Cut into 6 squares using a knife or pastry wheel. Place a spoonful of cream cheese on each square and spread lightly. Spread the red cabbage filling over the cream cheese. Fold the corners of the pastry towards the center, brushing each one with a little beaten egg and pressing gently. Place the golatschen on a baking tray lined with baking paper and brush the surface with egg. Bake the golatschen in a preheated oven at 180°C (top/bottom heat) for about 20 minutes until golden brown.
